E! covered the fab news that Hilary Duff was cast for a guest arc (that means multiple episodes) on CW’s hit series Gossip Girl.

Hilary Duff will play Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl, a movie star who enrols at NYU in order to have a ‘traditional college experience.’ She’ll room with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), and will start dating Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley)!

Hilary Duff’s first appearance on the series will be in the fourth episode, slated to air on October 5, 2009.

As you know from the set of photos, Hilary Duff & boyfriend Mike Comrie went to Boa this weekend for dinner with friends & with Hilary’s mom, Susan. The video below shows Hilary & Mike leaving the restaurant:

Hilary tries to keep her eyes down as she heads back into her car, which Mike drives home for them. You can tell there are people in the back seat - I think I can see that Susan is sitting behind Mike - but it’s hard to tell for sure.

Hilary Duff and her NHL boyfriend Mike Comrie were spotted out together on Friday Night in LA. Hilary was very unhappy that the paparazzi were following her around her home. After she tried to ask them to go away, Hilary then tried to ignore them as they pester her for a good photo.

Although the paparazzi are really annoying, at least they were (mostly) polite!

It’s been AGES since we’ve had a new Hilary Duff podcast! This latest, which I think is #86 (though I’m not entirely sure), details Hilary Duff’s visit to Toronto as part of her Blessings in a Backpack charity and the official launch of the program in Canada:

The video includes a dance performance at Contact, Hilary Duff’s speech to the crowd. The video seems to cover Hilary’s visit to more than one school, including a high school as well as an elementary school. Hilary narrates part of the video, sharing how exciting it was to be at the school. Later in the video, you can see clips of Hilary’s various interviews as well as some backstage views of her visit to MuchOnDemand.

Earlier this year, Hilary Duff paid a visit to Contact elementary in Toronto as part of her Blessings in a Backpack charity. While there, Hilary talked to a reporter about her NBC development deal, saying they still didn’t have a show chosen for her. I was sad to see that Hilary hadn’t filmed a pilot in time for the 2009 Fall Schedule, so hopefully they get moving on that soon!

Hilary also talked about The Story of Bonnie and Clyde as well as Provinces of Night.

In addition to the beautiful photos I already put up of Hilary Duff carrying flowers out from her lunch at Fred Segal, I have some candid video footage from the same day.

Hilary was seen with her mom, Susan, and bodyguard Ryan. Hilary was seen carrying two gifts in for her lunch, so perhaps someone was celebrating a birthday?

Here’s a fan video taken yesterday in New York City’s Central Park as Hilary Duff co-hosted the Opening Ceremony for AIDS Walk NY.

The video was taken at the side, so you can’t see much and there are a lot of shots of just the fans. However, I expect that there will be some news coverage soon showing us a better angle (I hope so anyway!)

Hilary Duff co-hosted the AIDS Walk Opening Ceremony in Central Park, NY this morning. In addition, Hilary Duff had a group together to walk as part of the event. Mike Comrie was there at her side as her “Hilary Duff - Walk With Love” group progressed through the city.

Over 45,000 people came out this morning for the largest AIDS fundraiser in the world. Aside from addressing the crowd before the walk began, and walking with her group, Hilary Duff was there to talk to reporters to help increase the awareness of the importance of everyone increasing their own education about HIV/AIDS.

Yesterday Hilary Duff took part in a special ceremony to light up the Empire State Building in red in honor of the AIDS Walk this weekend, the largest AIDS fundraising event in the world. In an interview at the event, Hilary talks about what an honor it is for her to be involved in the event and in bringing awareness to HIV/AIDS.

Hilary encourages everyone to learn as much as they can about HIV/AIDS and to come join her for the walk this weekend!
