Hilary Duff spent some time at the veterinarian this week! First, Hilary Duff picked up her cat Mouse from the Sherman Oaks Veterinary Hospital. The next day, Hilary returned to the vet with 2 of her dogs, Lola and the new dog, Dubois, to be boarded. Hilary told the paparazzi that she was going out of town for a while so her dogs were being taken care of there. I guess the rest of her pets stayed at home!

Hilary has another cat, Gloomy, and a little terrier named Jack. It’s possible that Jack is in the cage with Lola, as you can sort of make out a second collar in there, but it’s hard to tell. Read more

Hilary Duff shared with her fan club (you need a membership to see it) that she was SO happy with the results of the AIDS Walk last Sunday.

Hilary writes that the “Walk With Love” team raised $4,380 for AIDS Walk NY. The 24th Annual walk had 45,000 participants and raised more than $5.6 million for Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) and dozens of other tri-state HIV/AIDS service organizations!!

Hilary Duff writes in her blog a big thanks to everyone for all the work fundraising for the event. Hilary also writes her thanks to fans who voted for her for the TRL Italy awards, saying she was very surprised to hear she’d won the “First Lady” award.

The blog continues to say that Hilary was planning to take a few days off in LA, but has a few exciting events planned in June. And Hilary blogs about the new dog we’ve seen her out walking!

Hilary says the dog is named Dubois, and he’s a 2-year-old Bermese Mountain Dog that was rescued from a family that’s been fostering him. She says the little dogs in her home are getting used to him.

Hilary Duff and boyfriend Mike Comrie went to a private party on Saturday afternoon in Malibu, then were seen stopping at a cafe in Santa Monica. Earlier, Hilary & Mike were seen walking Hilary’s latest dog together in Toluca Lake.

Hilary Duff was seen walking her new dog, whose name we don’t know yet, along with Jack in Toluca Lake. At one point, the new dog definitely gave Hilary a workout, pulling her along as it tried to chase something.

Later, Hilary Duff and mom Susan were seen entering the Emergency Room at Providence Saint Vincent Hospital. I’m not sure if they were checking in for some reason or were perhaps there to visit someone. Read more

Hilary Duff was spotted out in Toluca Lake on Friday running some errands. One of those errands including heading over to Puppy Day Care to pick up this dog, and rumor has it that Hilary Duff has added a new dog to her family!

This one is just a little bit bigger than Jack & Lola, hey? But still very cute! Hilary seemed to be enamored with the dog, hugging it and letting it lick her face. Read more

In Hilary Duff’s last blog post, which went up , Hilary Duff mentioned that her little cat Gloomy had hurt himself. She didn’t mention how, but that she had been nursing him back to health. Hilary posted a new update today to her blog with an update on how he was doing. Hilary says he’s doing “a lot better” and they built him a little kitty condo too. She shared some photos of him in there with Hilary.

BTW, Hilary says that Gloomy’s favorite TV show is Animal Planet.

Hilary Duff has updated her fan-club only blog (sign up here) with some news! It’s been a long time since Hilary posted there, nearly a month, so it was great to have some updates.

In her blog post, Hilary Duff talks about going to Arizona for New Years Eve and about her vacation in the Bahamas. She said it was an amazing trip - very relaxing - and though she was sad that pictures of her vacation got out, she does think they’re cute!

Hilary talks about filming her episode of Ghost Whisperer and about her new role in The Story of Bonnie & Clyde, which should start filming this Spring.

In other news, the renovations on Hilary’s home are still progressing and her cat Gloomy was hurt recently so Hilary has been nursing him back to health.

According to People.com, Hilary Duff and sister Haylie Duff spent some quality time in New York at Sushisamba, eating yellowtail tiradito, palmito salad and sea bass anticucho. Yum!! According to the report, Hilary was given a private tour of the kitchen and was escorted to her table by the executive chef!! Hilary Duff was spotted out in LA today at Maxwell Dog, a specialty store for dogs in Studio City. Hilary picked up a number of fluffy toys for her beloved dogs - perhaps as Christmas presents. I think Hilary would totally be the kind of pet-mommy who would give gifts, don’t you? The store seems to also carry stuff for cats, as Hilary was there picking out some little toys for her cats too.

Wow, I’m sad I didn’t know about this before the election today. However, I’ll post it anyway
Hilary Duff, along with other celebrities, created a video to encourage people to vote “Yes” on Proposition 2 for the ballots today in California.

Proposition 2 is the “Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act” and we know that Hilary stands strong on issues related to the humane treatment of animals. Many of her pets are rescue animals. I don’t believe the results of this vote have been released yet, but I hope Prop 2 passes!
