Hilary Duff has spent the last week or so in North Carolina filming Provinces of Night, a film set in the 1950s in a small town. Here are some fan-made videos featuring a bunch of on-set photos:

Provinces of Night is based upon a novel by William Gay. If the movie follows the same story and timeline, it starts in 1952 with a man who has returned to his home after 20 years of roaming. His three sons are grown up and angry, all hating him. However, the man finds solace in his grandson, a boy who respects him and his age. This grandson has a girl whom he loves, Raven Lee, who I am assuming is Hilary Duff in this movie.

Fantastic news! Pam, another reader of HilaryNews.com, was able to get down to the set at UNCW in North Carolina to snag some more photos of Hilary Duff filming Provinces of Night. These photos show some close-ups of Hilary playing with the young boy on set (this does look like a scene they’re filming).

Hilary Duff’s video podcast, edition #75, is on the set of Stay Cool. Hilary is sitting on the set wearing her graduation attire about to shoot a scene. We then get a little preview of them filming the scene! Later in the video, Hilary says "hi" while taking a break in her trailer.

Hilary Duff co-stars in Stay Cool with Lost hunk Josh Holloway. Josh has been morphed into a "bad guy" for the flick, with a body of tattoos and a mean-guy hairdo. Quite in contrast to Hilary’s little blue dress, hey?

In the movie, an author (Mark Polish) heads back to high school for a commencement address. An eager teen (Hilary Duff) crushes on him, but he must deal with his own high school crush (Winona Ryder)… and her ex-boyfriend tattoo artist (Josh Holloway).

Hilary Duff has been filming her latest movie, Stay Cool, for about a week now. Hilary was photographed yesterday arriving to the set in a cute pair of shorts and an aqua top, and after 20 minutes in wardrobe and makeup, emerged in a blue dress and heels. It also looks like Hilary has the new iPhone!

Here’s a fan video of a whole bunch of Hilary Duff images from the set of "Greta," and some studio stills to promote the film. If this doesn’t make you excited for "Greta", I don’t know what will!!

We know that "Greta" is going to come out in 2008, and earlier reports have that release date as being in the summer, but no final release date is out yet. Cross your fingers we get that info soon!!
