If you had looked closely at the last photo of Hilary Duff in her bikini in Hawaii from the adds I posted yesterday, you will have noticed that Hilary Duff has a new tattoo written across her side in a simple script. The tattoo reads “ma petite amie.” In this spelling, it refers to a close female friend, reading either “my little friend” (literal) or “my girlfriend” (proper meaning). Since this probably doesn’t apply to Mike, I’m thinking maybe it’s meant to be about her sister, Haylie. What do you think?

This is Hilary Duff’s second tattoo. The first tattoo, which is on her foot, is a more stylized script that reads “Let it Be.”

Since Hilary Duff was getting a lot of positive press for her fantastic curves in the black bikini she wore on her Hawaiian vacation, I thought it would be fun to look back at how Hilary’s bikini bod has changed over time!

In the latest HilaryDuff.com newsletter, the logo for Hilary Duff’s upcoming fashion collaboration, Femme for DKNY Jeans, was revealed:

We saw the logo earlier on the tshirt Hilary Duff’s “Walk With Love” team wore at the AIDS Walk in New York. The newsletter mentioned a new contest for fan club members to win those team t-shirts. There’s also a photo essay from AIDS Walk, and another from the Empire State Building.

In the video I shared earlier today, Hilary Duff talks at around 3:35 about her new fashion line, Femme for DKNY Jeans. Hilary said:

“It’s not only jeans. We did little jackets and tops and a few dresses and big cowl neck scarves, which is really fun…

Since people are not wanting to spend a ton of money on clothes, it was really important to me designing the line to give people something extra. Like things that detach… something that comes with a top: maybe a big scarf that’s attached at the back, but you can take it off and wear it with something else. Or certain clothes that you can wear multiple different ways and it’ll look totally different.

All of that’s going to be shown on the website, but my inspiration was kind of selfish, because I did a lot of clothes that I like to wear. And I wanted to do that for my fans who feel that maybe those type of clothes aren’t accessible where they are. This line is very accessible, very affordable, and really stylish.”

Hilary Duff has been wearing a lot of scarves this Spring - so it sounds like we’ll see that inspired in the new line! Can’t wait!

Hilary Duff teamed up with iconic fashion house Hervé Léger to host a party on May 6th in homage to the “bandage dress”. The event was held at LIVE! on Sunset and celebrates the launch of the latest Hervé Léger by Max Azria Collection. Hilary herself wore one of the iconic bandage dresses in a gorgeous lime green:

Hilary Duff has designed a necklace that will be donated for auction to Stars For A Cause. Celebrities designed their own red-carpet-worthy jewelry with the help of jewelry designer Robyn Rhodes. Each design incorporates semi-precious and precious stones, and pearls.

The jewelry was on display in London and will make its way to the US to be showcased at gala preview events in New York and LA prior to the auction on May 28th at the Bonhams & Butterfields gallery in LA. Proceeds from Hilary Duff’s necklace will go to Kids with a Cause.

Hilary Duff has teamed up with iconic fashion house Hervé Léger to host a party on May 6th in Hollywood.

Hilary Duff will host the celebration at LIVE! on Sunset on May 6th at 7 - 9pm. She will be joined by hosts Max & Lubov Azria, Gerard Guez and Jackie Rose. The party will be attended by celebs and VIPs of all sorts, and will honor the Hervé Léger by Max Azria “bandage dress”. The event will preview the Spring 2009 collection, with live music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and celebrities wearing the iconic dresses on the red carpet (maybe Hilary too!)

The bandage dress was a huge hit in the 80s and is now re-surging back into fashion. The one shown in this post is Hervé Léger’s bow bandage dress, for example.

Hilary Duff has mostly been carrying her new and very expensive Birkin handbag these days, but it seems that Hilary has a penchant for posh handbags. The bag she’s seen carrying here is over $2,000!

The Prada Cervo Lux Print Bowler is available for $2,350 at Bergdorf Goodman. The bag is made from calf leather with black lace overlay. It’s made in Italy.

Hilary Duff spent about a week in Ottawa it seems. As well as seeing the hockey game on April 4th, with boyfriend Mike Comrie playing, Hilary Duff also was spotted at his April 7th game! However, Hilary made her way back to LA and was again spotted at the Eye Candy Boutique and Optometrist.

Hilary walked out of her appointment wearing a new pair of glasses - similar in shape to the ones we saw in New York, but without the full rim. Earlier in the day she was spotted at the gym for a workout. Read more
