As you know from the set of photos, Hilary Duff & boyfriend Mike Comrie went to Boa this weekend for dinner with friends & with Hilary’s mom, Susan. The video below shows Hilary & Mike leaving the restaurant:

Hilary tries to keep her eyes down as she heads back into her car, which Mike drives home for them. You can tell there are people in the back seat - I think I can see that Susan is sitting behind Mike - but it’s hard to tell for sure.

According to InTouch magazine, Hilary Duff’s mom, Susan, has a great relationship with Hilary’s boyfriend, Mike Comrie.

Hilary shared that her Mothers Day plans included a trip to Napa for some wine tasting. Susan Duff, who celebrates her birthday 2 days after Mothers Day, usually just gets one big celebration for both events. I’m not sure if they’ve yet taken that trip, but Hilary & Mike were seen spending Mothers Day with Susan anyway.

“We all spent the day together. We played board games, cooked crab cakes, and later we ate at a really amazing Italian restaurant in LA. It was quiet and nice!”

Hilary Duff says that one day she’d love to have kids of her own, but that won’t be “any time soon.” However, it looks like Hilary & Mike are doing great in their relationship!

Hilary Duff may travel to New York this week to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

The national board of directors for Blessings in a Backpack, the charity that Hilary Duff works closely with (she sponsors a school in LA and is unofficial spokesperson, and mom Susan sits on the board of directors), will be heading to NY on December 23 to ring the opening bell.

Stan Curtis, who founded Blessing in a Backpack, recently received a call from someone with the NYSE, inviting the organization’s national board to come and ring the bell. Root said the invitation might have been prompted by increased exposure the organization has received through its affiliation with pop singer Hilary Duff.

Great to hear that Hilary’s work with the charity has helped to bring it greater profile - since that really helps this charity!! Nine members of the board will make the trip to New York.

Although Hilary Duff is not confirmed to go (she “might attend”), it may be something she does if her mom goes, or if she’s in town to visit Mike Comrie.

Hilary Duff and her mom Susan Duff were spotted out today in LA. Hilary was carrying her iPhone with her (I have one too!), and we almost never see her put it in her purse or pockets these days. Hilary Duff was spotted out in Hollywood on Wednesday afternoon with her mom, Susan, and an interior designer. The trio went to a number of home furnishing stores, including Lucca Antiques. If Hilary is going for a new decor theme for her home, I hope we get to see some photos!!

There were also candids of Hilary attending a meeting at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills on November 4th, wearing a bright yellow jacket over a black dress or skirt. Haylie was with her. (Follow the links to HQ candids)

Hilary Duff’s father, Robert Duff, was arrested last yesterday for contempt of court. Bob Duff has been sent by the judge to a Texas county jail. He has been ordered to spend 10 days in jail.

According to The Houston Chronicle, the contempt of court charge stems from a violation of a court injunction. The injunction stated that Bob Duff could not sell any of his assets without court approval, as part of the divorce agreement between Bob Duff and Susan Duff. He failed to get court approval when he sold some of his assets. Bob Duff’s bond is set at $367,537, the amount he earned from selling stocks last month.

A judge in Harris County was hearing the case on Wednesday - it ended with Bob Duff being escorted out in handcuffs with the contempt of court charge. The court meeting between Bob, Susan and their lawyers was heated with accusations of lying and unethical legal practice. Neither Hilary nor Haylie was in court for the hearing.

During the hearing, Susan Duff took the stand to ask for $25,000 to fund a present and party for Hilary Duff’s 21st birthday on September 28th - the same price that was spent by Bob for Haylie when she turned 21. Susan says the stipend from Bob is not enough to live by, let alone to throw a party, and that her lawyers are already being paid for by Hilary.

Susan Duff testified that Hilary Duff is "emotionally upset by the abandonment of her father" and should receive the funds for the birthday "to have some kind of recognition for a young life well-lived."

After Bob Duff was hand cuffed, Susan Duff gasped in shock and was heard to say "This isn’t what I wanted." Bob Duff wanted to speak with a reporter, but a gag order from the court prevents him from making public statements.

Family day! Hilary Duff, boyfriend Mike Comrie, and mom Susan Duff spent a lovely saturday together. After lunch at the very trendy Katsuya, they went shopping (check out all the bags!) at stores in Glendale, including one called Shabby Chic. They all stopped to grab some coffee at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf:

Hilary Duff was spotted in chic blue pumps, rolled up skinny jeans and a simple white tank on July 3rd. Hilary and her mom Susan were at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. Reports have it that Hilary took one of her dogs into the vet.
