Get the Look: Hilary in “Reach Out”
Did you love Hilary’s fabulous glam look from the “Reach Out” music video? Well, We Love Beauty has talked with Hilary’s make-up artist, Rachel Goodwin, and put together some make-up tips to help you get the look!
Rachel describes working with Hilary on the look for the “Reach Out” music video, and about Hilary not cheapening herself while pushing boundaries. Rachel notes that Hilary is “exploring her other side, discovering herself” in the music video. She wanted to create looks that would go with the rawness of the hand-held camera work.
Her three favorite looks are the cherry red lips / gold eye look, which was “slightly Jerry Hall and very late 70s/early 80s”, the deep red lip / purple eye look, which was Hilary’s favorite and very “in your face”, and a nude lips / purple eye look Rachel calls “the ringmaster”, which was playful and “pop art.”
