Haylie Duff hosts “Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods”

As you know from earlier posts, Haylie Duff will be hosting the new MTV reality series Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods. The series will premier on Monday, June 2nd. Haylie Duff stars in the series as the host, and is also an executive producer.

Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods is an eight-episode reality competition series to find a new "Elle Woods" star for the Broadway musical. The musical has starred Laura Bell Bundy as the star, but she will be moving on and her place will be filled by a new girl.

There will be 10 girls competing for the lead role in the Broadway show. They girls will go through intense training to learn the dance routines and songs, will participate in rehearsals and workshops, and will face challenges to see who will win the lead spot. The girls will all live together in a New York City loft.

Haylie Duff, who starred in Broadway’s Hairspray as Amber von Tussle, will help provide guidance for the contestants.

MTV.com will begin providing show content and extras on May 5th, from cast profiles to photos and performances. MTV was the first network to air a musical in its entirety - Legally Blonde The Musical premiered on MTV on October 13, 2007 and reached over 12.5 million viewers.
