Mike Comrie on dating Hilary Duff
Mike Comrie gave a brief interview to the Edmonton Sun which included some references to Hilary Duff.
Mike says that he gets boo-ed every time he goes back to Edmonton - that a bitter breakup 5 years ago led to unhappy fans. And that spread to the point where people may not really know what they are boo-ing for. It was the reason he left Edmonton, and he details more on that.
He talkes very kindly of Hilary and their relationship:
"It’s been great, pretty serious since the summer," he said. "She’s a good person — does a lot of things for charity, a lot of things people don’t know. She’s great to be around, we have a lot of fun together."
Although Mike values his privacy in New York, that’s something he obviously doesn’t have with Hilary around.
"She’s in a business where her fans want to know what she’s doing. They’re interested in seeing how her day to day life is going. I realize that and understand that. I guess that comes with the territory of dating somebody in that business. But you’re not in a city of a million people that are keeping an eye on you and knowing everything you do. I can duck out sometimes."
Well, it sounds like Mike has a good head on his shoulders, hey? Very sensible and understanding.

nice! thats the first Mike interview i’ve heard, for something besides Hockey! it sounds like he’s a good guy, and like He’s keeping Hilary really Happy!

I stand on Mike’s side, he is a wonderful player and that is why he is leading the islanders and it was unfortunate that he had a bitter break up with his home team, but sometimes its just the price you pay. I think its rather emateur of the Oiler fans to boo him for things that cannot be proven and for stupid rumors that most people know its NOT a fact. Mike has taken the rejecton really well, he keeps his head up high even in the most unconfortable situations like the last game he played. Hilary IS a wonderful girl and she is seeing past all of those things wish is great, he’s a wondeful guy and she is a great girl, talented, and has a good head on her shoulders. I wish them the best.
And for all the “hurt” oiler fans out there…LEAVE COMRIE ALONE, GET OVER IT, he sure has.

Thank God, I just knew that he was a good guy, joel wasn’t that good he started to date another girl a week after breaking up, but mike seems very nice and he doesn’t talk that much about his relationship to the media and thats a great thing.he respects her and makes her happy and thats a great thing too .
and you guys stop hating on him. he’s a good guy eventhough i don’t know him but if he was a bad guy they wouldn’t stay toghether !

yah it was annonced like a couple of weeks ago (jamie-lynn’s pregnancy) and ever since then it has been all over the media i heard she was due in july but i also heard march 7th (people magazine) oh well hil is a great person with alot of self respect who would never do anything that is not good for herself or her situation and will do what is best for so all of thoose haters please stop hating long enuf to see HILARY IS SMARTER THAN THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Beyonce and j.l.s. supporter. i think he’s a nice guy. how old is he? and i hope he doesn’t get her pregnant, and i hope he doesn’t “do it” with her premaritally (even without pregnancy). wouldn’t it be sweet if they got married? ^_^ anywho if they did get married, i hope they won’t have any serious problems.

Edmonton Oilers fans hate Mike because He was their home town hero but then he refused to play for Oilers but Oilers would not let him go so he played for no one for a whole year. This made the fans really angry and they started spreading nasty rumours about him.

Not to offend you kids, but Mike Comrie has a past, and likely present, that he wouldn`t dare bring up honestly on media or with any publicized girlfriend. He`s sucking up to the journalists and paps because he knows Hilary Duff is going to truly find out about him sooner or later through unfortunate first-hand experience. For her sake it will be much sooner.

jj Mike is a good person,hilary needs that. why are u always saying things about mike to make out he is not a good person, what have we seen from mike since he’s been going out with hilary all good things he is supportive,caring and they love each other.

Mike haters give it a rest. Hilarys been going out with Mike for six months now and there is nothing that she does not know about him. Its Mike you should feel sorry for because if this relationship ends then it will be Hilary who ends it just like she did with Joel when she got tired of him.
