Dignity 2 Release Date
The re-release of Hilary Duff’s Dignity album - titled Dignity 2 - is slated for March 4, 2008.
According to Tommy2.net, a 2 CD set will be released. This could mean more bonus tracks!
Hollywood Records, a part of the Walt Disney Entertainment Company / Beuna Vista, is planning to release several discs in an alternative CDVU+ format. Artists signed on Hollywood - The Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, Hilary Duff, Raven Symone and many more are set to come out with respective records in a new musical encoding (CDVU). A number of artists are set to re-release their records, adding Hilary Duff to the list.
Duff, who recently released "Dignity" (Pop Album, 2007) in April 2007 is also going to come out with a re-release sequel entitled "Dignity 2" in March 2008. "Dignity 2" is still in the planning stages of its production, and the target being set by Hollywood for the record is a 2-disc edition. Duff will not only release "Dignity" again, but will also record new tracks for it. "Reach Out" [Sampling "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode] is the only track confirmed so far, but Duff is definitely set to record more.
Hilary Duff is also shooting a film titled "Greta" in Ocean Grove, New Jersey alongside Ellen Burstyn and Evan Ross [Son, Diana Ross]. Duff’s upcoming film, "War Inc" will also star John Cusack, Marisa Tomei and Sir Ben Kingsley. [via hduffworld ; original source unknown]

I’m going to buy Dignity 2, but I noticed that Hollywood Records/Disney likes to make Deluxe ed. of their best selling CD’s. It happend with Aly & Aj: Into The Rush, High School Musical, Hannah Montana and others. Now they are making CDVU+ I guess I should stop buying their CD’s on release date and wait for a year to see if they make a new version or something.

oops stupid me, just read the March 4th, 2008 thing…question answered! I’ll definitely buy the re-release if it has enough new tracks and stuff, and at a reasonable price. If not, I’ll just get the new songs off iTunes if they have them. I say “if they have them” because I can’t find the remix of Stranger there, which is the one remix that I think sounds kinda good. We’ll see!

Second thought, I’ll just get it again. If she’s doing more new tracks than “Reach Out” I’ll get it. Hey, and maybe there’ll be a Dignity 2 Deluxe Edition which comes with the Stranger video and who knows? She might make another music video before it’s released. I think Gypsy Woman could be a cool music video (I really like the tune and beat) and I think Dreamer’d be a fun video. I like the fun bounciness of that song.

Oops, sorry, do you mind if I post just ONE more comment here? K, anyway if there’s an edition of Dignity 2 with the Stranger video on DVD that’d be great. Because watching the video on a laptop with okay screen watching quality (i got it off itunes and it ROCKS) isn’t as good as watching it on a good quality TV.
