Too be technically honest, these sales charts in this day and age don’t remotely reflect the playtime and mindshares that the music dominates. Linkin Park is hardly the pinnacle of what’s being downloaded, traded and played across the entire planet. There are far more listeners to HDs Dignity album in the many formats and remixes the music has taken and been played in than that of many of the artists on this list. And many other pervasive artists aren’t even on these lists. They even have Maroon 5 and Avril Lavigne over Madonna, Timbaland and Fall Out Boy, which is to defy market demand and playlist logic, as is Norah Jones over Bon Jovi?
