Hilary Duff texted Joel Madden
Hilary Duff took the upper hand and extended her best wishes to Joel Madden on his upcoming baby with Nicole Richie.
That’s the word from Us Weekly, which says the toothsome starlet, 19, sent a text message to her self-described "first love" after his impending fatherhood with Nicole Richie was confirmed during their recent sit-down with Diane Sawyer.
"After they appeared on ‘Good Morning America,’ Hilary breezily texted Joel congratulations on the pregnancy, and Joel warmly responded," an adverb-happy mole tells the mag.
Duff’s alleged well wishes are quite a change from her previous stance on their romance, which began shortly after she and Madden called it quits late last year after two and a half years of togetherness…
According to Us, Duff’s kinder, gentler attitude is a result of her budding romance with Comrie, 26, whom she’s reportedly been seeing for several weeks.
"Hilary plays it coy, but she’s really into him," says the snitch, who describes the lantern-jawed New York Islander as a "great guy." "He’s the first she’s been serious about since splitting with Joel … They’re just great together."
You know, I doubt Mike is responsible for the change. I think Hilary Duff is just a great person and wanted to wish Joel well, as he was a big part of her life and they remained friends after the breakup. I am very happy that this clears up all the rumors of Hilary Duff being bitter about the whole situation.

And to add to my rant, when is hilary and her fans going to move on and stop reporting Nicole Richie’s news. It seems Hilary life is so pathetic, all she can do is talk about Joel and Nicole….Move on!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE JOEL MADDEN SOOO MUCH!!! -He is just such a great person. He’s religious, sweet,attentive,cute, and he doesn’t care what ppl think. And he’s very talented. Lastly, hes a great boyfriend and he’s gonna be the BEST DAD!!! -GC FOREVER!

Umm James where does it say that Hilary revealed that she sent the txt to joel? Well anyway i think that was a lovely thing to do, I mean not many x girlfriends would do that if they found out that there ex was going to be a father just a few months after they broke up.

she tried to do it to show that there r no hard feelin gs for joel and nicole.
even though she said all those things but she decided to look at the bright side of the situation even though she still kinda dislikes him for many reasons…she NEVER JUST talks bout them okay..ppl ask she answers…BELIEVE ME she has better things to do in life than just stalkin the two of them..
and why on earth would u think that she has songs bout her even though she denied it..the album was finished be4 joel and nicole came out with their romance..

JAMES Hilary didnt leak anything to the press she’s not dying for attention like britney and if u are really a hilary duff afn you would know u she would NEVER EVER do something like that for attention so cool down.
I actually think its a very mature thing to do cause after all he was a huge part of her life. but i’m so happy that she moved on just as joel did.

OK, i agree with you guys on alot of this but, Hilary isn’t over Joel. Come on. ITs obvious, and even some of her friends have said that when Hilary broke it off with Joel she “THought for sure they’d be back together b4 christmas” SHe didn’t think it would be perminit. SO when Joel moved on it wasn’t so much that she was angry, it was just hurt feelings. Joel’s her “first love” (She said so) and thats hard to just move on over.

James, if you look on any Nicole blog/site the news involves Hilary aswell so you could say the same about the Nicole fans. I’m sick of people keep saying that Hilary “isn’t over Joel” when she so obviously is, otherwise she wouldn’t be with someone else…
Hilary was the one who ended there relationship anyways.
