Hilary’s mom being sued

by Arieanna on November 11th, 2005

Hilary Duff’s mom is being sued for millions. Not by Hilary, don’t worry. The family is all good.

Hilary’s mother, Susan Duff, is being sued for breach of contract by a clothing firm in Canada. The firm, NTD Apparel, alleges that Susan violated a merchandising deal for Hilary Duff’s fashion line Stuff by Duff that was to be exclusive.

NTD Apparel filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court this week, claiming Susan had performed “unlawful, unfair and deceptive business practices” while agreeing sales deals for the star’s Stuff By Hilary Duff line.

The suit also names the family’s entertainment company Rafter H as a defendant, alleging they violated an exclusive merchandising agreement with NTD by agreeing side deals with rival retail firms.

In response, Rafter H told the New York Daily News the suit was “without merit” and are planning to sue NTD for using low-quality goods in the Stuff collection.

Well, ok. But what’s this about low-quality goods?
